We’d like to include your house in “Christmas Evie’s Light Hunt” so your festive home can bring joy to others. Local judges will be deciding who will win their share of our $5000 total prizes. So, go the extra mile and join us for the fun!
WHAT - Christmas Evie’s Light Hunt is a collection of decorated homes that have agreed to be listed as part of a "drive-by Christmas light tour" in Wilson County!
WHO - Any Wilson County resident who has the Christmas spirit!
PRIZES - Over $5000 of prizes will be divided amongst our winners. The 1st place winners in each category will receive a 1 year membership to Jimmy Floyd Family Center. Other prizes include a 4-day Staycation to Whitetail Ridge (Airbnb $1600 value- see www.wtridge.com) and cash prizes totaling $1300!
WHEN - We are taking entries Nov. 29th - December 21st. Random site judging runs Dec 21st- Dec 26th, so keep those lights on! Winner will be announced first week of January.
WHERE - The route includes all participating homes throughout Wilson County.
HOW - First, decorate your home! Then sign up at www.evieslights.com or scan the QR code below to go directly to the website. After entering, drive by Anycare24 to get your participant yard sign. (702 S Cumberland St, Lebanon). This is how judges and other fellow Light Hunters will be able to tell you're part of the fun! (Only your address will be listed on our Light Hunt website. We will not post names or any personal details. Your personal information will ONLY be used to privately coordinate the Light Hunt and will not be shared.) Not interested in competing? WHY - Other cities have similar festive activities, so we thought Wilson Co. should too! We love Christmas, and we can all recall sweet memories of sharing time with friends or family by driving around to see homes ready for the holidays. Where did the name come from?
Don’t worry- we didn’t misspell “Christmas Eve”! Christmas Evie’s Light Hunt was started by a dad whose daughter LOVED Christmas lights as a little girl- and still does to this day! Some of their best memories involve decorating for Christmas and going on “light hunts.” Now, that same dad is the proud grandfather to a baby girl named Evie. This competition is dedicated to her, and is inspired by the years of Christmas memories shared by her mom and grandfather.
How does the competition work?
May the best decorated home win! The 2024 Christmas Evie’s Light Competition winner will be decided by a committee of locals. Judging will take place by random site visits to all the entered homes from December 21st through December 26th. The winner will be announced the first week of January! (If your home wins, we will call you to let you know!)

How can I participate?
As a spectator: Go to the “Map” tab in the website’s menu to find a list of all the homes to drive around and visit!
As a competitor: Click on the “Enter Here!” tab in our website’s menu and fill out the form. Anyone with Christmas spirit and a fun, decorated house can enter! It’s totally free to enter.
Is there a specific route we should drive?
We recommend starting from Anycare24 and following the route on the map! We’d also recommend ending the night back at home with some hot chocolate and a Christmas movie. :)
